CFEF was among 100 K-12 programs across the United States
to receive funding from the Motorola Solutions Foundation for the
2011-12 school year. The $50,000 grant
will enable 10 CFEF member foundations to inspire students through projects
designed to help them solve real-world problems in science, math, technology
and engineering (STEM) areas.
"The future of American innovation depends on a
diverse pipeline of critical thinkers who are well versed in STEM principles,”
said Matt Blakely, director of the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the
charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc.
"Through the Innovation Generation program, we are thrilled to partner
with organizations like CFEF to provide students and teachers with the
necessary tools to explore their STEM interests and pursue innovation.”
Congratulations to our winning foundations!
