Highlights of Foundation Programs:
For 20 years, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, Inc. has been living its mission – to bring together community resources to ensure a quality education for every student. Through innovative programs and projects, the Foundation has acquired  more than $10 million in direct contributions to help create a bright future for our students – a future that revolves around constant teaching, learning and growing.

The Foundation – which serves the 11th largest public school system in the nation - is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports more than 178,000 students and 23,000 teachers, administrators and school personnel in over 200 schools in the county.

Our core programs include …
•  Count Me In!, a grassreoots community engagement initiative to reconnect the public with our schools to achieve the quality of education it desires.

•  Classroom Teacher Grants, including Darden Innovative Grants for classroom projects; Citigroup Teacher/Mentor grants for teacher collaboration initiatives; and Progres Energy Empowerment grants for science and math-related equipment and supplies, The West Orange Middle School Science grants, and the Universal Orlando Foundation K-2 Readiness Grants that address the special needs of our youngest learners.

•  Middle School Kids, a youth development project for middle school students that brings together students, parents, and community resources.

•  Read2Succeed, a one-on-one reading tutoring and mentoring for second grade students reading below grade level
