Mission Statement:  The Education Foundation of Martin County (EFMC) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) community investment organization comprised of business leaders, community volunteers, and school officials with the common goal of enriching and enhancing the quality of education for students and educators in Martin County's public schools.

The Foundation strives to increase community involvement and financial support of the educational process, encourage effective instruction, strengthen student motivation, and create initiatives that support dedicated and creative teachers; thus, supporting excellence in education!

As an independent group, the Foundation promotes this effort by raising and distributing private and corporate funds through several established programs including classroom enrichment grants, mentoring programs, professional development for teachers, special initiatives, scholarships, and programs to recognize outstanding teaching.  These resources exceed the funding capabilities of the school board.
