The Levy County Schools Foundation was established in 1989 to promote and enhance the quality of education in all Levy County Schools.The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt corporation created to expand the ability of local businesses, community groups and individuals to provide scholarships and fund special programs for Levy County students and their schools.

Foundation Objectives

  • To raise and invest funds for scholarships
  • To be an advocate for our school system.
  • To serve as an agent to manage grants
  • To act as a clearinghouse for donations (monies and/or gifts) to our schools.
  • To promote incentive programs for our students and teachers.

Scholarships and Projects

  • Distributing over $53,000 in scholarships annually to graduating Seniors
  • State of Florida Match Grants matched with private local funds since 2001 a total of $205,000
  • Read 2 Succeed: Reading Mentoring Program for low performing students
  • M.M. Parrish Golf Tournament for Reading:  $10,250.00

  • Classroom Grants:  Mini-grants for classroom teachers

       Suncoast for Kids:  Classroom Grants $1,350
       CITIGROUP Team Teacher Grants:  $1,200
       GFWC Williston Jr. Woman's Club Classroom Grants:  $6,500
        Plum Creek Timber Company Grant:  $8,500
        Progress Energy Technology Grant:  $17,000
