The Levy County Schools Foundation was established in 1989 to promote and enhance the quality of education in all Levy County Schools.The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt corporation created to expand the ability of local businesses, community groups and individuals to provide scholarships and fund special programs for Levy County students and their schools.

Mission Statement:
We are committed to supporting public education in Levy County by developing resources to encourage educational innovation, promote and recognize excellence and address the needs of all students, faculty, and staff.  We serve collaboratively with business and community members as an independent 501(c)3 organization.

STARS Gala (formerly Superintendent’s Gala)-premier fundraiser event
 Black Stallion Literacy Program-all 4th grade students
 Evening of Excellence honoring Teacher, ESP, and Volunteer of the Year from each school and awarding of District Employees of the Year
Classroom Grants-provided through employee payroll deductions, and corporate sponsors
Student Scholarship Program-over $84,000 awarded in 2009
Stuff the Bus-community donations of school supplies
New Employee Orientation
Funding to promote Career and Technical Education for Students and Adults, resources for low performing students, classroom supplies for academic enhancement, and instructional support for teachers
